Kedoshim: “Holy ones”
Leviticus 19:1 - 20:27

Through their journey

With each step

Moses has been the ear for his people

He has guided their travels

Their prayers

Their sacrifices before the L-rd G-d

And along the way
without map or compass

Moses has sought to purify their souls
as G-d asked them to offer

As the I Am watched

And whether in smoke or fire
close to them or at a distance

The people opened their hearts

Their eyes

Their ears

That they might be a Chosen people

A purified tribe

Moving closer toward an understanding
of the One who spoke

In mystery and miracle

Mountain and sand

Calling them every one

To open the arks of their hearts

And share in lyrics of loving one another

The song of their sacred soul
