Bechukotai: "In My Statutes"
Leviticus 26:3 - 27:34

“Rains will fall in springtime
and peace will surely blanket the land”

And so the L-rd spoke to Moses

If the people keep divine commandments
as easily as one friend to another

Out of bondage G-d had lead them

And now

All could be theirs

If they simply opened their eyes
to the wonders G-d laid before them

A world free of disease

Filled with budding crops
and strong herds

Joyful days
and restful nights

All wrapped in ribbons of praise
to the One who set this before them

Commandments to keep
and laws to follow

Sacrifices to offer
and hearts to remain ever open to the Voice from the sky

A Voice that echoed like thunder

For all to hear

And joyfully follow
