Ki Teitzei: “When you go out”
Words are precious things Woven together into a great tapestry of trust or honor
Like a contract An agreement A vow And so it is with the L-rd Upon making such a vow to the Great I Am
Into the fabric of a completed answer We ought to not delay
Lest we are plagued by guilt What our lips have promised We are to celebrate In heart’s resounding answer to the L-rd Rabbi Tad Berga (Rabbi Tad Berga is a published writer and poet who holds an MA from the University of Oxford, England, the MTS from Duke, and his rabbinical ordination from the Rabbinical Seminary. He is a board certified chaplain and bereavement counselor who currently serves Seasons Hospice in Pinellas, Florida.)
