Ki Teitzei: “When you go out”
Deuteronomy 21:10 - 25:19

Words are precious things

Woven together into a great tapestry of trust or honor
we believe them to bind our lives

Like a contract

An agreement

A vow

And so it is with the L-rd

Upon making such a vow to the Great I Am
we begin the process of sewing together fine strings

Into the fabric of a completed answer

We ought to not delay
for G-d asks us to complete our agreement

Lest we are plagued by guilt

What our lips have promised

We are to celebrate

In heart’s resounding answer to the L-rd
