Laughter fills the air
with a child’s first step

So innocent and pure

Contagious as the autumn air

Wrapping my heart in a web of anticipation Strong

Embracing my growing reach

To grasp the hand before me

Given by G-d in this captivating moment Exploding before my soul’s ears

And at once

My faith is colorfully changed

The tempo increases
as my partner gently outstretches her arm Inviting me to share this dance

Suddenly in a timeless breath
the Torah is upon my shoulder
cradling my soul as a mother does her young

Pure intoxication filling my lungs

Welcoming the weaver of word and story adventure and tale

She guides me through the maze of people gathered as if I have some secret to tell <

Alas my dancing Torah speaks first to me and in time to all who but listen

Swirling in a kaleidoscope of faith

Trusting the miracle of simple joy

She who rests in my arms
sprung from the ark

Composing a symphony of pure emotion
a tender ballet of the heart

And as the gentle tears waltz down my cheek

May my Torah find her age old lyric
forever written upon the pages of my song
