In this week's parasha, T'rumah, God asks the Israelites to bring gifts of donation that will be used to construct the Mishkan, or the Tabernacle.
It is a beautiful image of everyone bringing what is meaningful to them and to the community in order to create the place where God will dwell among them, and that will be felt by all of the people.
